Hello to all of my friends.
Well, some of you are wondering why I am not posting
photos right now. Considering that I’m beyond crazy with
school, I didn’t think it wise to be involved with photo stuff
right now unless necessary. So, I’ve resorted to “regular
posting”. Hopefully, my hiatus will be over with soon.
If you know me remotely well at all, you know that I
LOVE scouting out new musical talent and fresh sounds.

I was introduced to Miss Jose Vander’s music around six months
ago by some random website that I was surfing around on.
I was intrigued, and found my way to her MySpace page.
She is such a new talent with some awesome ideas!
So, I’m posting a video of her performing one of my
favorite songs of hers – “Faces Going Places”.

I highly recommend checking out her myspace
for more of her music. If you go to her site, you
HAVE to listen to the song “Puppets”. It’s her best
work, by far. Well, Enjoy this clip! I’d love some

Phillies!

Well since I am from Philadelphia, I deem it appropriate to
mention that my beloved Phillies are going to the WORLD SERIES!
(a.k.a. HUGE news where I’m from) I’ve been a Phillies fan ever
since I can remember. They were my first baseball game ever,
a fond memory of my father and brother, and have been a huge
part of my life.

Here’s a sample of the kind of athletic fervor that
surrounds the whole city on game days,
particularly ones where our teams win. If you think this is crazy,
wait until the Eagles play! So for all of my readers who have no idea
what kind of crazy culture I grew up in, watch this clip!
(It starts to get really good around the 45 second mark)

It’s Been A While…

I know, I’ve been doing more photo posting than thoughts posting.
Well, it’s been a crazy semester/last 2 months for me. Things changed
in ways that I never expected, life doesn’t always work out the way that
I planned, and I’ve been learning so much! But I have to say, that in the
face of all this chaos and constant change, I am becoming an adult. I am
growing up. Granted, this isn’t easy. It doesn’t come without tears, fear,
truth, knowledge, or wisdom. But, I am thankful that the Lord has been
teaching me what he expects from me. His lessons are so wonderful and
kind but they are so hard to learn. He never gives me the “easy way”, but
exactly what I need to grow in Godliness and in humility.

Life has been crazy, that I can say with perfect clarity and precision.
School is relentless. I’m 17-18 units deep, tacking on that extra class
to fulfill a transfer requirement. But I am finding my joy in my weakness
and the strength of Christ. It’s nice to know that I am fragile. It is nice to
know that I have limits. I am finite and I am okay with that.

Right now, I’m just waiting on the Lord. I mean, I am constantly
waiting and depending on the Lord. But right now, I am acutely aware
of how weak I am and how sustained I am by his grace. My flaws are
monumental, my sins are incalculable. However, these all are absolved
by my Savior. What a great feeling!

It’s a relief to know that my future, immediate and far away, is in HIS hands
and not in mine. My college/academic career, family, friends, etc is all under
his control and supervision. It’s not my life, I can’t control it. It’s all a gift.
Every circumstance, every breath, every molecule isn’t mine. I know it
sounds trite but, I am living on borrowed time. Life is short. Why WOULDN’T
I want to live it to his glory?

So… that’s some of the thoughts bouncing around in my head.
I have to get back to writing a literature paper.
(That’s my version of literary candy)

We rented a cabin in the woods for the weekend. It was a wonderful escape from
the crazy city! Loved it!

My Brother Is A Marine

My younger brother, John, became a Marine on Friday.
I couldn’t be more proud of him. It was just a great weekend to
be with my family and to spend a few days at one of my favorite beaches.

The Sears Family

Shepard Smith

Here are some pictures that I recently took of one of my favorite little kids, Shepard Smith.
He’s around a year and a half, and his mom is pregnant again! So I’m looking forward
to another maternity shoot and soon, new baby pictures! It was such a pleasure to hang out
